“I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells.
Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living.
It's a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope.
Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life's realities."
- Dr. Seuss
Ok, so I know Dr. Seuss' birthday was almost two weeks ago, but we celebrated a few days late at work to coordinate with the school festivities and I still wanted to share with you all!
Dr. Seuss is one of my favorites....so lovable! All his stories are so clever and fun. It seems only right to have a party in his honor....and what's better than a Birthday Breakfast Pajama Party?!
So in celebration of his birthday, we made...
I tell you, for a kid who hates all foods green, he sure gobbled this up!
After breakfast, we played Dr. Seuss bingo and made "Cat in the Hat" sun catchers from construction and tissue paper.
I think it's adorable! He certainly had fun making it!
In the afternoon, we made rice crispy treats that I cut in to a hat shape and decorated like the Cat in the Hat's hat. They had a great time with this, and enjoyed eating it too!
Once the hat was done, I rolled the extras into little balls and dipped them in chocolate and sprinkles.
Fun is good.

I love all your ideas, especially the sun catcher. My kids would have loved your celebrations!
ReplyDeleteVery cute! I like the sun catcher! I just did a Dr Seuss bday too for my 1 year old. You can see it on my blog also! :)
